NCMA North Texas is pleased to present Mr. James "Jim" Hogan, Lecturer and Instructor in Operations, Purchasing, Sourcing and Contract Management at UTD, as our October keynote speaker. Mr. Hogan will be speaking on "The 10 Best Practices in Contract Management".
Jim is a Purchasing, Materials, and Supply Chain Management professional. His most recent assignment was Senior Director of Procurement for Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma responsible for Tribal Operations Purchasing and Fleet Management where he served from 2011 to 2016.
Jim has 30 years of experience in Supply Management leadership positions with major international companies including Steelcase, Applied Materials, Brooks Instrument, FSI International, Carrier, Trane and General Electric. His background and expertise include global supply chain management, strategic sourcing, production operations, manufacturing, materials, contracts, project management, customer and supplier relationship management and government purchasing.
Jim has a number of professional certifications including;
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), ISM
Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), ISM
Lifetime Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), APICS
Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB), Value-Train

Jim is an accomplished lecturer and instructor. He teaches Operations Management and Purchasing, Sourcing and Contract Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He teaches Global Sourcing and CPIM certification classes for North Texas APICS. He has qualified as CPSM trainer for ISM and has proposed CPSM certification classes for ISM Dallas.
Jim has a MBA in Production and Operations Management from the University of Texas at Tyler and a BS degree in Engineering Operations from Iowa State University.
